The Black Mountains x National Geographic Traveller

In the eastern end of the Brecon Beacons national park is a series of valleys of mountains which define the ancient boarder between England and Wales. The Black Mountains are often over looked as people generally people head straight to the more famous central beacons. However, here I found wealth of history, peaceful yet dramatic landscapes, wildlife, and a community of local people passionate about the area who are all collaborating to promote and restore the Black Mountains in a sustainable way.

This project was published in the September 2022 issue of National Geographic Traveller.
