Lomochrome 100-400 Purple x Brecon Beacons.

I’ve recently bought myself an EOS 100, a late 80’s / early 90’s Canon SLR. I love it. The biggest draw for me is that it fits all my current Canon glass with working autofocus. I had a few rolls developed lately from the past few months; some Portra 400, Kodak Gold, and most notably Lomochrome 100-400 Purple.

Lomochrome 100-400 Purple is based on Kodak Aerochrome; an old infrared film developed for government surveillance. Feeling the effects of stagnation recently, I thought I’d give this striking film a whirl in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Wales.

I thought the film came out quite interesting, especially well in bright warm light providing the contrast to really make those purples pop. You might notice a horizontal line going across the top third of a lot of the images below. I’m not sure why? I’m putting it down to a quirk in the roll, I don’t mind it too much.
